DestroyerR4 years ago That’s true. Selfless Hero, for instance, or N'Zoth’s Spawn
Stevethebarbarian 4 years ago I'd suggest "remove a friendly minion," because as of now this can easily be an upside rather than a downside.
DestroyerR4 years ago Ah, very nice. Minor nitpick: I’d put the “is” on the same line as the “golden” and capitalize “Golden”, but that’s just me rambling. Nice job!
Shoemanband (creator)4 years ago There we go. Now, you can get goldens more consistently, but can't abuse it repeatedly.
Shoemanband (creator)4 years ago @DestroyerR Fair enough. I can make a small nerf to the HP.
DestroyerR4 years ago @Shoemanband if you don’t upgrade very often, you’d be surprised at how often the minions you sold come back. If you can get triples (something that happens pretty often in Battlegrounds), you can abuse this.
Shoemanband (creator)4 years ago Maybe it's just a lack of experience, but I've had games where I only see a minion once in the early rounds, then only in the later rounds after I've already went on a completely different gameplan. I think consistently getting multiple golden copies of a minion is unlikely.
Shoemanband (creator)4 years ago @DestroyerR You need to sacrifice one minion to make the other copy golden. If you use the HP without a second copy, you risk never coming across another copy later on, wasting 3 gold and a minion.
DestroyerR4 years ago @Shoemanband why would you only be able to use it when you have 2 copies of a minion? Plus, you’re paying 9 Gold for the first, but only 3 for all the others, so this has some insane exponential growth. It’s arguably better than George’s HP, and costs (1) less
Gothe4 years ago Huh. this is super strong (i think). Just dont use it until you the minion is offered in bobs tavern again.
Shoemanband (creator)4 years ago With Dr. Morrigan, you're still paying 9 gold total for 1 golden minion (3 for first minion, 3 for HP, 3 for second). That accounts for the doubled stats and effect of the golden and the additional Discovered minion. This is also very bad in the early rounds as it is very expensive (second highest cost behind George) and removes one of your minions. You can't really use it until round 4, and only if you have two copies of the same minion at that point, which I think balances out the potential in the late game.
DestroyerR4 years ago @Shoemanband it’s a good idea, but much too OP IMO.
Firstly, what about the Discover Reward? You talked about how it should be on my Vustrasz, so I’m assuming you implemented it.
Second, this is easily abusable with cycle buffs. Think Metaltooth Leaper, Crystalweaver, Nathrezim Overseer...
Shoemanband (creator)4 years ago By future copies, it means any copies of it that you buy from Bob's Tavern or are in your hand, i.e. any that you could play in the future. Any that are already on the board don't get upgraded. Thoughts?
